I see Township10 as a place where the ocean meets the land; the residents are like the tide. New arrivals slowly flood the place, impress upon it, and rearrange it. With fresh eyes they roll over everything and move into all the spaces. Each artist brings their ocean with them when they are here. Township10 is a place for the tide to rise and fall.

                          —Kyle Lawson, Township10 long-term resident

I think of Township10 as a recording studio, where artists are laying down tracks and making their mark—in material. Like music studios in the 1970’s, artists are supported by skilled technicians, encouraged to experiment, and the experience is unscripted. Residents at Township10, including myself, are already feeding off the energy of those who have come before and a sense of what’s to come.
